- The University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Environmental Science invites applications for a Lecturer of Environmental Science to begin Fall 2025.
This is a threeyear position contingent upon a successful year one review. Teaching requirements include 12 contact hours per semester (24 contact hours per academic year). In addition to contributing to department core courses, the successful candidate will develop two upperlevel electives in their area of expertise that complement current departmental offerings. One should be a fieldbased Ecology course, and the other in Environmental Management or Policy. The successful candidate must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field. Familiarity with southern Appalachian ecosystems and environmental issues is especially desired.
