Position Information Title AY25-26 Graduate Assistant – MSW Program
Position Description The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The MSW program graduate assistant will support the needs of the MSW program and school of social work with:
Support to community speaker series
Communications related to SSW activities
Satisfaction research and surveys on internal programs (e.g Sat program
Assistance with preparation of materials for faculty and staff, as needed
Work with data, statistics, and continuing education certificates
Provide hosting support for virtual presentations outside SSW
Develop flyers
Other tasks, as requested by others at SSW (admins, faculty, and staff)
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
The most important needs for this position are a person with good judgement, an ability to work independently, a good problem-solver and with basic skills in Word and Excel. Student will learn to use Qualtrics, Zoom, Power BI and potentially other software used at SSW. If student schedule can accommodate Monday evenings 6:00-8:00 on a monthly basis, this would be helpful to assist in hosting virtual continuing education sessions. Physical Demands Ability to lift 20 lbs.
