Job Description The Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an interventional radiologist.
The interventional radiology group at UAB provides services and oversight at the University Hospital and Children’s of Alabama, as well as adult and pediatric outpatient clinics. All of these facilities exist on one campus, contributing to excellent and convenient multidisciplinary care. The UAB Department of Radiology consists of 96 faculty members, including 16 physicists and PhD researchers. The division of interventional radiology has nine full time faculty, four physician assistants, and all interventional radiology residency training pathways. We are recruiting a tenth faculty for continued growth. The ideal candidate will actively participate in teaching, research, and service as well as in collaborating with other departments. Qualified applicants will hold an American Board of Radiology Certificate of Advanced Qualification in Interventional Radiology CAQ or have CAQ eligibility. Academic rank and tenure status will depend on qualifications and experience.
