Job Description The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an outstanding academic hospitalist to join the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, within the Department of Pediatrics. This faculty position will drive the Division and Department’s strategic goal to provide excellent clinical care and medical education. The division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) is comprised of an outstanding group of academic faculty and staff who are recognized as local and national leaders in education, quality improvement, advocacy, informatics, and health systems research. Members within the division are established leaders within the Department and Children’s of Alabama, with roles including leadership of the Pediatrics Clerkship and the Residency Programs, medical directorships of clinical units, and chairs of institutional committees. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical and teaching skills, as well as interest in professional development. The UAB Department of Pediatrics has nationally recognized expertise and firmly established multidisciplinary programs. This position will provide opportunities for growth of divisional programs as well as opportunities for collaboration with other distinguished programs within UAB.
