Medical Professions Instructor-Saline County Career Technical Campus(SCCTC) Arkansas State University Three Rivers Benton, AR Job Summary Health Care Professionals! Exciting things are happening at the Saline County Career Technical Center (SCCTC) and we want you to be part of our high-energy team! We are actively seeking an instructor for our growing Medical Professions program housed at our state-of-the-art SCCTC facility in Saline County. This facility and programs are dedicated to the instruction to students from our six local school districts. All academic programs receive their accreditation through Arkansas State University Three Rivers. These positions will begin in January 2025. The Medical Professions program is designed to better prepare students for entering studies in all healthcare fields. The curriculum includes an introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the human body along with common body diseases. The program also focuses on the development of a medical terminology foundation for further study in the medical field. The position provides instruction on a 10-month academic contract with standard days off for holidays including alignment with local schools for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Essential Job Functions Deliver engaging instruction aligned with state, college, and accreditation standards. Develop and facilitate creative, real-world solutions to challenges. Mentor students in leadership and professional skills, providing guidance on career and education pathways. Organize educational activities, such as field trips and guest speakers. Maintain partnerships with industry, community, and education organizations. Serve as an advisor for SkillsUSA, including chaperoning competitions. Accurately maintain student records and communicate grades, attendance, and behavior updates. Attend recruiting events, team meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Required Education and Experience Required:
RN or LPN with at least 2 years of nursing experience. Certified or eligible for instructor certification in CPR, First Aid, and Certified Nurse Assistant training. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with common medical equipment and safety protocols. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to meet state and college credentialing requirements within two years. Schedule & Benefits 10-month academic contract with standard holidays aligned with local school calendars.
