Seeking Family Medicine Faculty provider to join one of thenation’s elite research universities. This is an A&P(Administrative and Professional) position. Position provides out-patient primary patient care and involvesteaching of medical students within the clinical setting. Performsdiagnostic exams and examinations for specific complaints for theidentification and evaluation of illnesses and injuries. Initiatesmedically sound treatment options, diagnostic laboratory tests,x-rays, and other procedures as indicated. Reviews and discusseswith patient the results of laboratory, x-ray, and otherprocedures. Provides medically indicated referrals to otherspecialists/consultants when necessary. Documents the patient history, physical and emotional state,diagnostic findings and treatment in the patient s ElectronicMedical Record. Serve as consultant to nursing staff and other staffphysicians. May serve as preceptor to students on clinicalrotations Attends and participates in COM professional and administrativecommittees, conducts case presentations, special projects and otherrelated assignments as assigned. Actively participates with othermedical staff in implementing approved policies and proceduresemanating from these committees.
