Associate Professor of Clinical – Interventional Radiology providesmedical care to a large array of patients by providing minimallyinvasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. TheAssociate Professor of Clinical is focused on clinical care,research, and training of residents and fellows. As assigned by theChairman, the faculty member will provide service at the followingUM/JMH locations: Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealthTower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, at satellite centers inBroward County (Plantation and Deerfield Beach) and the LennarCenter, which is located in Coral Gables on the University of Miamicampus. In addition to these locations, the faculty member may seepatients in clinic at the Professional Arts Center.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and performinterventional procedures. Assist in the development and implementation of new andinnovative interventional procedures. Be responsible for evaluating patients both pre and postintervention and contribute to the expansion of outpatient clinicsfor interventional procedures. Supervise performance of technical personnel. Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IRclinic. Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice ofinterventional imaging. Provide interventional imaging consultation asrequested. Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of anInterventional radiology practice. Be part of the on-call schedule in InterventionalRadiology. Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by theChairman related to the practice of interventionalimaging. Participate in teaching activities related to interventionalradiology as required in: Residency/fellowship training programs Medical student education program Technological radiology educational programs Continuing medical education programs Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson MemorialMedical Center committees and provide service to the same in othermanners as requested. Participate in research activities as an investigator andmentor. CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (orforeign equivalent).

Certification and Licensing:

Florida Medical License or equivalent. American Board of Radiology Certification. Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in VascularInterventional.
