Miller Schoolof Medicine is seeking an academic physiatrist and leader at thelevel of Associate Professor or above with an interest in inpatientand outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation to join our department. Thephysiatrist will provide clinical services at the soon to beconstructed Shriners Children’s Orthopedics Center through sharedpartnership with UHealth and Jackson Memorial Hospital (HoltzPediatric Hospital). The position will include an endowment fromShriners to help create the combined position of Chief of PediatricRehabilitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Vice Chair ofPediatric Rehabilitation within the Executive Committee of theDepartment of PM&R at the University of Miami Miller School ofMedicine.

The primary responsibilities of this position will includeleading the expansion of the inpatient pediatric rehabilitationunit, providing clinical care and growing outpatient pediatricrehabilitation services, and leading an expansion of the pediatricrehabilitation division with recruitment of clinical faculty,educators, and researchers. The position offers opportunities forteaching of medical students and residents. The possibility ofestablishing a Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship exists.

The idealcandidate will bring experience in leadership roles, growing andleading a pediatric rehabilitation service, and a track record ofscholarship including research in the field.
