Job ID Position # The Department of Neurology in the Medical College of Gia at Augusta University in Augusta, Gia is actively seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, as a board certifiedboard eligible fulltime Neurology physician to join our faculty specializing in MemoryCognitive Disorders. Devotion to excellence in clinical care and teaching will promote the professional goals of the faculty member and needs of patients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to providing clinical care, participating in covering inpatient and outpatient clinical services, nightweekendholiday call coverage, and academicteaching within the Medical College of Gia and the Department of Neurology. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track. Responsibilities
Patient CareService
Pursuing the faculty member’s passion as related to our clinical, research, and educational missions.
Provide highquality,prehensive care in neurology memorycognitive disorders in an effort to improve quality, safety and patient satisfaction.
Participate in assigned clinical duties Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with movement disorders in the outpatient clinic.
Meet all metrics associated with Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE). This includes but is not limited to attendance at quality meetings proper management of documentation,pletion of all onlinepliance training modules, attendance at faculty meetings, etc.
Meet and maintain productivity targets as set forth by the department chair and MCG Dean’s Office through clinical services provided.
Promote good professional relationships and build referral patterns with Augusta University physicians and physicians outside of Augusta University (referring physicians inmunity, region and state). Provide prompt feedback to referring physicians.
TeachingInstruction
Provide education and training to residents, medical students and staff which includes but is not limited to clinical supervision, consultation and didactics. Achieve and maintain teaching evaluation scores at or above the department mean.
Attend % or more weekly neurology Grand Rounds presentations and monthly faculty meetings.
Required Qualifications
MD DO or equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution. Fellowship in MemoryCognitive Disorders. Must have or be able to obtain a medical license in the state of Gia, obtain a federal DEA, and be CPR certified. Successful candidates will have a proven history of excellent clinical skills, involvement with clinical research, and strong desire to be involved with resident teaching. Assistant Professor Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.
Associate Professor Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor orparable training, background, and experience.
Professor Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor orparable training, background, and experience.

Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)’s requirements for institutional accreditation;
Evidence of ability as a teacher;
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview,plete biographical data, and rmendations.
