Job Summary The Department of Biology at Xavier University of Louisiana invites applicants for a full-time, adjunct faculty positions. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching lecture and laboratory courses in the MLS curriculum to undergraduate students. Employment would begin in August 2025. An earned master’s degree (M.S.) and national certification as a medical laboratory scientist/medical technologist (ASCP or equivalent) are required. Doctorate (Ph.D.) in biological sciences or related discipline is preferred.

  • The successful candidate will have a M.S. in biological sciences or related discipline, national certification as a medical laboratory scientist/medical technologist (ASCP or equivalent), clinical laboratory experience, experience teaching at the undergraduate level, and experience mentoring students in the biological sciences. Preferred Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in biological sciences or related discipline.

Special Requirements Summary Work Hours KSA’s Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Description 1) teach 12 credit hours per semester,
2) advise MLS majors, and
3) participate in service activities for the Department, University, their discipline, and the community.
