Primary Function of Organizational Unit The NCCU Online:
BS in Health Administration Flight Path Program prepares students to become a global leader and practitioner who can improve patient outcomes. The program emphasizes key competencies in management, analysis, finance, technology, policy, and communication – all of which are relevant to leadership positions within health care organizations. Primary Purpose of Position The successful applicant will serve as a key faculty member for the program with a team of other experienced Instructors.
Responsibilities will include:
Teach highly engaging content specific courses for undergraduate students
Prepare them for leadership and impactful positions in Health Administration.

Healthcare Seminar Also, the candidate will be the key faculty member expected to work with students to seek and secure professional opportunities, to apply important knowledge and and skills in a real world setting. More information about the program can be found here: :https://online.nccu.edu/programs/u ndergraduate-degrees/bachelors-in-health-administration/ Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expertise in course development in one or more of the aforementioned course areas OR other areas of subject matter expertise Previous teaching experience at the college or university level, especially in on-line delivery; Evidence of development of student assessment activities. Relevant work experience in one of the content areas Experience working in CANVAS or another learning management system (LMS) Record of research and scholarly activity including publications AND or Ability to engage in research and scholarly activities (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and research funding). Able to identify and support student experiential and capstone activities Familiarity with accreditation process with the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) or another agency. Successful applicant should expect to attend departmental and/or campus meetings/events at least 2-3 times during the academic year. Minimum Education/Experience Master of Health Administration or other related discipline in healthcare administration. Relevant courses in business, management and law are required. Minimum of 5 yrs experience in the healthcare industry or working in health systems, hospitals, managed care organization, government agencies or other management settings. Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation Although not required, applicants should indicate if they have any of the following certifications: Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ); Certified Medical Manager (CMM); Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC); Certified Healthcare Administrative Professional (CHAP); Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM); Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS); Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
