The Part-time Instructor, Dental Hygiene will work in the Forsyth Tech community dental clinic providing instruction and evaluating dental hygiene students. The instructor must have clinical experience in the dental field as an RDH and a current CPR. Minimum Qualifications 1. Associate’s degree in Applied Science with a specialization Dental Hygiene.

Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as

SACS . 2.

Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the College. 3. Current unencumbered Dental Hygiene license 4. Current CPR 5. Clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist Preferred Qualifications 1. At least 2 years of experience in a dental office as a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). 2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as designated by the Program Coordinator and approved by the Department Chair. Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, roll books, etc. Demonstrate clinical techniques and skills to students. Provide effective instruction to dental students in the dental clinic & lab setting, offering assistance, guidance, and constructive feedback. Make recommendations to the Program Coordinator for supplies, equipment, and equipment repairs. Construct, administer, and grade assessments, observations, and examinations. Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College. Attend specialized training activities that enhance job performance and foster diversity, equity and inclusion. Foster diversity, equity and inclusion with colleagues and students. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information, Pursue continuous improvement in the areas of subject matter expertise; teaching and learning; the use of educational technology; diversity, equity and inclusion; and other areas related to the strategic goals of the College. Facilitate the learning process by designing and implementing inclusive instructional activities that are appropriate and meaningful that maximize equitable student outcomes. Physical Demands
