Job Summary:
Reporting to the Section Leader, the ClinicalPreceptor uses ionizing radiation to produce images of tissues,organs, bones and vessels that assist in the diagnosis of diseaseor injury. Oversees Radiology Student schedules, provides classinstruction, and assists Radiology Students during their ClinicalPracticum at Middlesex Community College (MCC). Acts as the liaisonbetween the college and the Department of Diagnostic Radiology.
Performs all duties as a Radiologic Technologist as needed.
MinimumQualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an education programaccredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in RadiologicTechnology (JRCERT) required. Associate’s Degree in RadiologicTechnology from an accredited college or appropriate militarytraining.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as aradiologic technologist in a hospital setting is preferred.
Licensure and/or
Certification:
Currently registered asR.T.(R)(ARRT) Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in theCommonwealth of Massachusetts required BLS healthcare providerrequired
Skills:
Excellent communication and customer serviceskills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Computer skills required. Ability to maintain confidentialinformation.
