Description Fordham University is seeking applications to teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Science in Applied Health Informatics. Supporting our aim in building a strong pool of instructors, we encourage highly motivated professionals to join our team in leading the curriculum of this growing program. On-site instruction will take place at our Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, NY. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format, combining online instruction with in-person sessions. The ideal candidate brings both academic knowledge and industry experience to guide students in applying principles to healthcare settings. Part-time faculty members will also supervise student projects and capstones. Openings are available starting with the fall 2025 Semester.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Teach 1-2 courses per term.
Deliver instruction through a hybrid model (asynchronous or synchronous online with in-person meetings each term).
Engage students in active learning, facilitate discussions, and encourage real-world application of course content.
Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely and constructive feedback.
Maintain regular virtual office hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
Collaborate with program leadership and instructional designers to ensure high-quality course delivery.
Stay current with trends in health informatics and integrate relevant industry examples into instruction.
Uphold academic integrity and foster a supportive learning environment. Qualifications Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Health Information Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an international equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a healthcare or health IT setting.
Prior teaching experience at the graduate or professional level (preferably in a hybrid or online format).
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom) will be helpful.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Salary Range or Pay Grade:
