Summary/Objective The Director is responsible to plan, organize, implement, coordinate, and control services of the Ardent Preschool program, exercising independent judgment and decision-making authority as delegated, including budget, policies, procedures, and employee supervision. Under general supervision, the Director operates the childcare program in conformance with Ardent Preschool standards. Essential Functions Conduct tours Responsible for ensuring that your campus operates within budgetary parameters established Ensure that the campus and employees conform to federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and requirements Converse with parents on a regular basis to discuss the development of their enrolled child(ren) Review income and expense, statistical, and budget status reports to develop and maintain sound financial status of program; analyze problems in these areas and make recommendations to resolve them or take corrective action Ensure that problems encountered by employees are resolved Maintain the waiting list and student promotions. Teach Bible and lead employee prayer time Build relationships and communicate openly with parents, students and employees Hire/Fire employees Employee raises Approve the employee schedule weekly Track employee tardiness and absences Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods All parent and employee emails pertaining to a change at the campus, finances (rate increases, payment policies), etc Contact parent when a student is having behavior issues Enrollment management Parent communication about student behavior issues Post payments in Procare immediately upon receipt Daily Tasks Make sure the teachers in the younger classes are reading the Jesus Storybook Bible or some other form of daily Bible stories Campus walk-through to certify maintenance and facilities are operating properly Partner with Assistant Director to lead employee prayer time Labor Management Tool Ensure proper classroom ratios are being maintained Ensure health/accident/incident reports are being completed correctly Weekly Tasks Establish performance goals and objectives Meet with the entire front office staff Process Tuition Express every Monday Email statement to parents on an as requested basis Monthly Tasks Review and approve expense report Director report Note to the Board of Directors Audit all bills for accuracy Mileage report Employee evaluations Order office supplies and Zep Quarterly Tasks Keep it clean inspection Assist in planning field trips Abilities Customer/Client Focus Decision Making Leadership Ethical Conduct Teamwork Orientation Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred 1-2 years management experience Successfully pass a background check Supervisory Responsibility This position manages all employees of the campus and is responsible for the performance management and hiring/firing of the employees within the campus. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. (this is a DHR requirement, i.e.., in case there is a fire can you safely exit the building holding a child) Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday and hours vary. Extended hours may be necessary as needed to cover staffing during business hours. Your schedule will be a rotation of opening and closing the campus.
