Position Summary
The Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Coordinator will work in identifying, cultivating and securing annual funds from prospective alumni, friends and businesses for programs at Calhoun Community College. In addition to general annual giving and alumni relations efforts, Athletics is a defined major focus in all annual giving and alumni relations. The Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Coordinator will work closely with the Foundation Director and in conjunction with Calhoun Athletic coaches, to coordinate Athletic annual fundraising plans, to support the College’s athletic programs .

Salary:

Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E1, Grade 2: $50,680•$68,169

Work Hours:

Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m.•5:15 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m.•11:45 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify, cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of annual gifts in support of General Calhoun priorities including athletics.
In collaboration with the Foundation Director, develop and execute a strategic plan for successfully securing appropriate funding for College priorities.
In collaboration with the Foundation Director, and coaches, develop and execute a strategic plan for successfully securing appropriate funding for athletic programs at the College.
Serve as a visible, key representative of the College’s Foundation team.
Effectivelymunicate the merits of Calhoun Community College, specifically the College’s athletic programs, to current and potential public and private donors.
Maintain and update donor records.
Provide regular verbal and written progress reports to Foundation Director.
Coordinate gift processing and acknowledgement on a timely basis.
Discern when confidentiality in work needs to be maintained and maintain that confidentiality. Perform all duties with professionalism.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. A minimum of a year of demonstrated fundraising or sales experience is required.
Competency in the use of current educational technologies and understanding of basicputer skills and presentation software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and aplishments:
Strong written and verbalmunications skills, which include effective and persuasive writing, public speaking and exceptional interpersonal skills.
The ability to successfully manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
Professional demeanor.
A high level of initiative and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Superioranizational and customer service skills.
The ability to work with a team or independently.
Experience in fundraising in a collegiate or other educational environment, including athletics.
Knowledge of and demonstrated use of a customer relationship management system(CRM) or donor management software, including prioritizing prospects, tracking prospecting activity, number of phone calls, emails and face to face visits.
Be highly motivated and goal oriented, possessing prospecting abilities to actively develop pipeline of prospects/donors and have the ability to build, cultivate and maintain both internal and external relationships.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Ability toplete assignments with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.
Ability to operate in high pressure situations and respond to issues in a calm manner.
Conscientious•care about how work is done and wanting to do a good job.
Sharp attention to detail.
A focus on being friendly and patient in responding to donor needs.
Willingness and desire to learn new things and that learning.
