Hall Director 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1200 West Montgomery Road, Tuskegee, AL 36088 Position Information Position Title Hall Director Status Full Time Job Summary This position coordinates all aspects of the programs and services for the Tuskegee University residential community. Essential Job Duties Participate in assigned after-hours/weekend/holiday on-call duties on a rotational basis to address any student emergency Advise students and collaborate with the appropriate departments to create a living and learning community to enrich the students’ university experience Supervise at least three to twelve resident assistants over one to two buildings, plan and implement three educational programs each semester Provide crisis intervention to residents and assess nature of problems and resolve or refer for resolution Conduct investigations of alleged violations of university and residence policies, hold meetings, interview participants, determine degree/seriousness of violations, and follow university student conduct policy Develop and implement residential learning community programs and initiatives; assists with student development operations Advise the hall council Participate in staff recruitment, selection, orientation, in-service programs and performance evaluation Participate in campus committees and assist in campus retention efforts Plan a minimum of one housing & residence life in e-service each semester Assist in hall security efforts Perform other work-related duties as assigned Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) A bachelor’s degree Some residence life work experience and/or supervisory experience A master’s degree in a related field is preferred Physical Demands Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to walk short distances Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items Ability to view a computer terminal
