Position Summary
The Community Education Coordinator at Bishop State Community College will lead the development and execution of short-term educational courses aimed at enriching the localmunity. This part-time position focuses on identifyingmunity interests, recruiting qualified instructors, and coordinating engaging programs such as cooking classes, crafting workshops, and more. The coordinator will collaborate with marketing teams to effectively promote these offerings and assess their impact through data analysis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and implement short-termmunity education courses designed to engage the broader Mobilemunity
Researchmunity interests and needs to develop relevant course offerings (e.g., line dancing, cake baking, cooking for couples, automotive basics, crafting skills)
Recruit, screen, and provide orientation for qualified part-time instructors
Develop course descriptions, schedules, and marketing materials
Coordinate with the marketing department to promotemunity education programs
Monitor program enrollment, attendance, andpletion rates
Collect and analyze program evaluation data to assess course effectiveness
Develop and manage program budgets
Create and maintain program documentation and records
Coordinate classroom and facility usage formunity education courses
Serve as liaison between instructors, students, and the college
Respond tomunity inquiries regarding course offerings
Represent the college atmunity events to promote educational opportunities
Collaborate with Workforce and Economic Development team on strategic planning
Assist in the development of grant proposals to supportmunity education initiatives
Work with campus facilities staff to ensure appropriate setup for various course needs
Process enrollment, payments, and maintain accurate participant records
Prepare reports on program activities, enrollment, and oues
Fostermunity partnerships to enhance program offerings
Create, maintain, and analyze program budgets
Work evenings and weekends as required for program scheduling
Develop, implement, and coordinate short-termmunity education courses
Build relationships withmunity members and potential instructors
Perform other work-related responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Workforce and Economic Development, Vice President, and/or President
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Associate degree from an accredited college or university
Two (2) years of experience in program coordination,munity outreach, or related field
Experience in planning and implementing educational programs ormunity events
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Experience working in amunity college setting
Prior experience developing and coordinating non-credit courses
Background in marketing,munity engagement, or adult education
Stronganizational skills and ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms
Experience in program marketing andmunity outreach
Knowledge of adult learning principles andmunity education models
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse populations

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding. Frequent walking, standing, or sitting may be required. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
