06/24/2025 The CREC Academy of Science and Innovation is seeking an innovative, creative, and collaborative leader to serve as a Dean of Students. As the Dean, the candidate would lead proactive initiatives in developing a positive culture of high expectations among students, staff, and families. Additional responsibilities for the Dean would include: Lead the Culture and Climate Team Administering middle school student discipline Collaborating with administration, student management staff, student support staff and teachers to support school goals. Supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified staff Manage and analyze student behavior data trends Participate in grade level team meetings Assist in developing tiered behavioral intervention strategies including behavior intervention plans. Attend and supervise after school and community events Chaperone day and overnight field trips Previous experience in behavior management and middle school programming preferred. The qualified candidate will be mission-driven, highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and strong communication skills, hold a valid CT Teacher Certification and have experience in working with middle/high school students and a student data management system. Candidates who currently hold a CT 092 certification required.
