Job Description
Part Time Admission Assistant 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 200 North Maple Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 Part Time Admission Assistant Responding to admission inquiries and communications with current and applicant families in a timely manner Scheduling interviews for the admission team Giving tours of the school to prospective families Facilitating the training and overseeing weekly assignments of student tour guides for visiting families in partnership with the Admission Associate Organizing admission-related events (i.e. Open House, tours, revisit days, new family events, school fairs, etc.) Utilizing the enrollment databases to update family information throughout the admission process and school year Organizing and administering ISEE and ERB testing on one Saturday each in November and December Planning and organizing prospective student group and individual visits Auditing applications to ensure the school’s requirements are met Supporting newly accepted families in all areas of transition Responding to transcript requests from alumnae Communicating with school photographers and coordinating All-School Picture Day including school IDs and the Upper School directory in partnership with the Admission Associate Assisting all divisions with necessary lists, labels, and communications related to the admission office Partnering with the admission team and other divisions on admission events as well as all-school events (including Graduation)
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree At least one year of professional experience in a similar role or experience with independent schools and/or non-profit organizations Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Suite (Google Docs, Drive, Forms, etc.), and Veracross (preferred) Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and a natural ability to engage with people of all backgrounds and personalities Awareness of economic, cultural, and other considerations present in the enrollment of a diverse student body Ability to display grace under pressure and maintain professionalism and discretion in all aspects of representing the school Experience handling sensitive information and material with care, professionalism, and confidentiality Knowledge of, appreciation for, and demonstrated commitment to anti-racist and anti-bias education Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask and prioritize A great sense of humor along with a willingness to learn about and be actively engaged in all facets of the school
