Full Job Description Position Summary:
Jose Maria Vargas University is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and bilingual (English/Spanish) Admissions Representative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process with clarity, compassion, and professionalism. This individual will play a key role in achieving enrollment goals and providing exceptional service to a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries via phone, email, text, WhatsApp, and in person. Conduct interviews, campus tours (virtual or on-site), and admissions presentations in both English and Spanish. Guide applicants through the enrollment process, including program selection, application completion, document collection, and financial aid referral. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system (e.g., Orbund). Follow up with leads and applicants regularly to ensure timely progression through the admissions funnel. Collaborate with financial aid, registration, and academic departments to support students during onboarding. Attend community events, fairs, or virtual sessions to promote the university’s programs. Meet or exceed individual and team enrollment targets. Provide culturally sensitive support to diverse applicants, especially Spanish-speaking communities. Participate in weekly admissions meetings and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, customer service, or sales is strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Orbund or similar platforms). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Passion for helping students achieve their academic and professional goals.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in higher education or with underserved communities. Knowledge of U.S. postsecondary admissions processes, including international student support
