We are launching a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and are seeking a Consultant Program Director to lead the development phase. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced nursing education professional to guide the pre-launch development of our new BSN program. The Consultant Program Director will lead curriculum development, compliance documentation, faculty planning, and clinical training coordination in accordance with Florida Board of Nursing (BON) and CCNE standards.
Key Responsibilities Curriculum Development :
Design full BSN curriculum, including syllabi, sequencing, and clinical components (med-surg, OB, peds, psych, geriatrics).
Compliance :
Prepare and submit application materials to the Florida Board of Nursing , Florida Commission for Independent Education (CIE) , and Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) .
Clinical Partnerships :
Initiate affiliation agreements with clinical sites across various nursing specialties.
Policy Development :
Draft academic and clinical policies, student handbooks, and progression criteria.
Faculty Planning :
Advise on recruitment strategy, credential requirements, and teaching load structure.
Accreditation Preparation :
Lay groundwork for future CCNE program accreditation.
Collaboration :
Meet regularly with the Vice President of Academic Affairs and other stakeholders to ensure timely execution of milestones. Qualifications Master of Science in Nursing ( MSN ) required; Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP ) preferred. At least 5 years of nursing education experience , including curriculum development and accreditation preparation. Demonstrated success with state and national nursing program approvals. Familiarity with Florida BON standards , clinical training site coordination, and higher education processes. Strong project management, writing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality materials. Contract Terms Estimated 290-300 hours over 6-12 months.
Contract range:
$40,000-$45,000 , depending on experience and qualifications. Work may be performed remotely with some availability for virtual or in-person planning meetings.
