We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Admissions Director to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our 180-bed long-term care facility.

Position Overview:

As the Admissions Director, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing all admissions activities within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process for new residents, collaborating with various internal teams, families, volunteers, and healthcare professionals. You will supervise the Admissions staff and will be a key liaison between our facility and external hospital or healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective admissions strategies to maintain facility occupancy at optimal levels. Supervise and support the Admissions staff, ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency. Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams within the facility to streamline the admissions process. Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, families, and referral sources. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements related to admissions. Work closely with hospital discharge planners, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient placements. Provide families with accurate information regarding services, admission procedures, and available resources. Facilitate communication and relationships between families, volunteers, board members, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting. At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Prior admissions experience in a long-term care facility is highly preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with staff, families, and external stakeholders. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards in long-term care. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Us?
