Job Functions Support the Office of Alumni Engagement in all special events as needed, working as a team to plan and execute all activities and programs of the department. This includes coordinating logistics, managing event timelines, vendor relations, RSVP tracking, and ensuring event goals are met with precision and professionalism. Develop programming to meet the needs of an evolving and segmented alumni population and coordinate relationships with various on campus departments such as enrollment management, career development, student affairs, athletics, governmental relations, and other areas as appropriate. Works closely with the Director of Alumni Engagement to implement a comprehensive strategic plan to increase alumni engagement and participation while also being mindful of alumni giving, parent giving and friend/community giving initiatives. Marginal Functions May represent the university on local, system-wide or state committees. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence. Departmental Requirements Proven experience in alumni relations, volunteer coordination, marketing, or public relations, preferably in higher education or non-profit sectors. Strong event planning and execution skills with meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with university operations, alumni/donor segmentation, and professional standards. Effective management, planning, and multitasking abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills. Capable of building trust-based relationships with alumni, donors, and university stakeholders. Experience in personal solicitations and volunteer management is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and four years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 8 years of direct experience.
