Upper School Student Culture Advisor 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars Spring Hill, FL 34610 Job Description At Classical Prep, the Student Culture Advisor (SCA) leads staff and students in pursuing the school’s goals and mission.
Overview Position:
Full-time, 10-month exempt
Work Schedule:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM daily, 197 days, plus occasional nights and weekends as necessary
Benefits:
Insurance benefits the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment, 3% match of employee retirement contribution, and 7 days of PTO Reports to Upper School Dean Work hours are subject to change. Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Discipline and Attendance Create documents and procedures to build consistency and disseminate to staff regarding student conduct, classroom management, parent relationships, and classroom expectations Maintain disciplinary files; Exercise appropriate leadership in processing student behavioral problems, including accurate record-keeping of infractions as well as communication with parents and staff Collaborate with Administration on preventive disciplinary measures, such as changes in counseling, schedules, behavioral plans, etc. Monitor students upon arrival, enforcing uniform compliance and recording non-compliance Monitor students serving detention, in-school suspension, lunch, and dismissal Work alongside instructional staff for the maintenance of classroom behavior management systems and interventions Respond to and resolve parent and student concerns in a timely manner Participate in monthly School-Based Threat Management Team meetings Track, report, and address attendance and truancy School Culture Assist the Academic Advisor in planning monthly Student of the Month ceremonies Champion Classical Prep’s core virtues and character education through daily interactions, assemblies, and recognitions Organize and facilitate regular “Culture Walks” to observe and celebrate examples of excellence in student behavior and environment Maintain visibility by actively engaging in common areas (hallways, cafeteria, assemblies, arrival/dismissal) to build relationships and reinforce expectations Foster a restorative mindset in resolving behavioral conflicts—balancing accountability with empathy and growth Collaborate with the Dean and Head of School to analyze data related to student discipline, culture, and climate to develop and adjust strategies proactively Miscillaneous Support low-level technology needs for scholars and staff May teach classes to support the needs of students •
