Position Overview:

The Annual Giving Manager plays a key role in the execution and growth of the annual giving program, primarily supporting the Patriot Fund. This position assists with strategy, communications, donor stewardship, and volunteer coordination, and serves as one of the first points of contact for all Patriot Fund-related inquiries. Working closely with the Director of Annual Giving and the Annual Giving Committee, the Annual Giving Manager helps cultivate strong relationships across the community to deepen engagement and increase philanthropic support, with a particular focus on growing annual donors into Talon Society members. This position will report to the Director of Annual Giving. This is a 12-month paid, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning and execution of the annual giving program to meet or exceed budgeted goals each fiscal year. Drive increased participation and giving across all constituencies, with a focus on donor retention and upgrade strategies. Manage the faculty and staff giving program. Increase focus and participation among evolving constituencies such as grandparents and new family giving in partnership with the Director of Annual Giving. Manage a portfolio and make direct asks for entry level giving up to $1,000. Collaborate with the Annual Giving Committee and volunteers to engage the community and inspire giving. Assist in the development of compelling annual giving communications and printed materials, ensuring alignment with the School’s mission and strategic priorities. Coordinate timely donor acknowledgments, including thank-you letters, tax receipts, pledge reminders, and stewardship touchpoints. Assists with logistics for fundraising related events such as happy hours, donor recognition events such as the Talon Society Reception, etc. Foster strong working relationships across departments and model a collaborative, mission-driven approach. Be a team player; cheerfully participate in or assist with projects and other duties as part of the Advancement team, or as assigned by the Director of Annual Giving and Chief Advancement Officer. Maintain professional competence by attending staff development programs, and other professional trainings and activities. Model and foster professional standards of communication, personal presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, collegiality, respect, and discretion. Meet regular and timely attendance requirements, including occasional evening and other required events. Adhere to School policies as described in the Employee Handbook and other materials. Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes Needed for

Success:

Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a related field. Demonstrated success in donor engagement and fundraising, with experience cultivating individual gifts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build authentic relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands. Proficiency with donor databases and data-informed fundraising strategies; experience with Veracross is a plus. Proficiency in Google Suite platforms. Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy. Desire to collaborate with others and ability to work as a team member. Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive work environment.
