$34K – $45K a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Raiser’s Edge Computer literacy Mid-level Microsoft Office 3 years Bachelor’s degree Leadership Communication skills Office experience Full Job Description The Alumni Relations and Development Associate is responsible for the planning and implementation of events and programs that strategically engage alumni and establish continued alumni relationships with the School, the planning and execution of the School’s annual Pirate Ball, and the coordination of the School’s Corporate Partner Program.
Specific:
Coordinate the School’s Corporate Partner Program – responsibilities include solicitation and various formats of recognition of said partners Plan, coordinate, and execute the School’s annual Pirate Ball by working with a large team of volunteers – responsibilities include working with the chairpersons on venue, decorating, menu, theme, etc., solicitation of event sponsors and the coordination and execution of both a silent and live auction Plan, coordinate and implement events and programs that strategically engage alumni encouraging participation in events and initiatives, and establish continued relationships with the School Re-establish the Alumni Class Agent program by recruiting class agents and keeping in constant contact with said agents to keep the alumni database accurate and raise participation in the School’s fundraising initiatives and garner greater institutional support Maintain alumni records and data Partner with Development colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni giving Contribute to the School’s publications by gathering and writing the Class Notes section of the Watermark Engage alumni using various forms of social media and assist the School’s web master by providing content for the alumni section of the website
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the mission, values, and community of Saint Edward’s School. Alumni of the School are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic commitment to the School’s mission Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to work collaboratively and courteously with colleagues throughout the School, alumni, other constituents and the public Extensive computer literacy, with Microsoft Office and fundraising database experience required – Raisers Edge knowledge preferred Flexible, takes initiative, and self-starter, as well as the ability to work independently, combined with the skills for thriving in a team environment to achieve institutional goals High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information Experience in alumni relations and external affairs with demonstrated accomplishment in fostering productive relationships with volunteers and developing volunteer leadership preferred Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed Three to five years professional office experience Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
Work in a highly active yet professional environment, dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time Be able to occasionally lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. Work primarily in a traditional, climate-controlled office environment Work intermittently in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat Be physically able to travel locally and regionally
