Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student’s development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University. Responsible for the management, administration, planning, and coordination of specialized and talent-based programs review process in the Office of Admissions. Responsible for managing, developing, and overseeing the daily functions of the application review process for first-year special programs, international, and athletics applicants. Manages the completion of incomplete special programs first-year applications. Provides guidance and direction to staff regarding admissions decisions for accepted, denied, and rescinded offers of admissions for specialized and talent-based program applicants. Hires and trains A&P, USPS, and OPS employees in the first-year special programs, international, and athletics file review. Provides support to senior leadership in the review of other application types as needed. Continually evaluates program effectiveness and efficiency and may introduce procedural changes based on needs. Collaborates with senior leadership to introduce enhancements. Assists in the recruitment of first-year students to the University. Travels throughout Florida and out of state. Due to travel needs, position requires operation of a motor vehicle. Counsels prospective students and their family members, represents the University at sponsored events pertaining to Admissions, and provides information about the University and its programs. Interprets policies and procedures for University personnel, high school guidance counselors, state college/college/university counselors, and prospective students and their family members. Extensive contact with prospective students, applicants, and their family members, the general public, and University officials. Frequent contact with international students and schools. Frequent contact with high school counselors, principals, teachers, and officials from other colleges and universities. Occasional contact with personnel from ACT, College Board, and other outside vendors. Serves as the special programs liaison for first-year admissions with other University departments. Works closely with departmental representatives and faculty regarding the first-year admissions process. Works closely with departmental representatives to support international first-year applicants through the admission process. Assists with the University Admissions Committee and manages appeals to the university. Contributes to long-range planning. Collaborates with the senior leadership in recommending and implementing policies and procedures. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and staffing of the Office of Admissions. Shares in the compilation and analysis of data for recommendations and projections. May represent the Office of Admissions at on-campus and off-campus events and at conferences. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Office of Admissions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience related to academic and/or student services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of related experience. (

Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of complimentary experience preferred. We seek enthusiastic candidates who are detail-oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team. Experience working with various populations, reviewing transcripts, and interpreting and applying admissions tests is preferred. Candidates should have the ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred. The ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment is essential. Experience should be relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Experience counseling and/or providing expertise and advice is required. Qualified candidates will have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
