We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. What You’ll Do As Practicum Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in securing field experience placement experiences and establishing partnerships with local schools for TSC’s Teacher Preparation programs. The coordinator also teaches within the Exceptional Education and Elementary Education BS degree program. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for: Assists in curricula development and provides classroom instruction. Counsels’ students to effectively support placement practicum. Provides support to students in preparation for and in ongoing placement practicum. Builds relationships with local schools and ensures relationships are maintained. Provides student support through mentoring, training and communication. Provides regular office hours for the students. Actively participates in meetings relevant to student placement. Serves on committees and attends campus meetings, as appropriate. Engages with the wider community by participating in community service activities. Maintains full membership of a professional counselling association. Accurately completes administrative tasks relevant to the role. Who We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Master’s degree in education, early childhood education, educational curriculum development, and/or field related to instruction/education – or – a master’s degree plus 18 graduate semester hours in education, early childhood education, educational curriculum development, and/or field related to instruction/education Must have completed at least three (3) years of successful, relevant prekindergarten through grade 12 teaching, student services, or school administration experience. Must hold a valid Florida Professional Educator Certification(s) (Not endorsements) in one or more of the following: Elementary Education (K-6), Reading (K-12), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), and/or Reading (K-12).
