Enrollment Management’s integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student’s development and progression in their academic experience – from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University. Responsible for assisting in the oversight of operations related to academic eligibility, scholarships, and reduction of over-awards for the Office of Financial Aid (OFA). Responsible for the design and execution of proactive communication plans and for the design of the OFA web presence. Directs the strategic planning, administration, assessment, and implementation of program goals and objectives and ensures activities meet University, federal and state regulations. Responsible in assisting with the oversight of the Return of Title IV, Satisfactory Academic Progress, Scholarships, and State of Florida programs. Provides guidance and leadership in the effort to reduce over-awards. Responsible for the strategic planning, administration, assessment, and evaluation of all activities within the programs. Closely coordinates activities with other program directors to ensure financial aid packaging and disbursement of student funds are timely, accurate, and in compliance with University, federal, and state regulations. Coordinates with senior leadership within OFA and Enrollment Management for the completion of reports for the Board of Governors, reporting for Federal/State requirements, and major surveys. Communicates with OFA staff on all information and changes for programs of oversight to allow for effective and consistent counseling to students, families, and other stakeholders. Responsible for overseeing the National Merit Scholarship program disbursements and coordinating the eligibility of new or returning candidates and preparing them for appropriate disbursement and/or renewals. Responsible for the immediate resolution of findings and/or inquiries made through daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports that impact Return of Title IV, SAP, State and Foundation programs. Research and corrects any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process, including identifying the causes and implementing solutions. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial records by comparing them against various sources. Works closely with various internal stakeholders within OFA, Student Finance, and University Advancement to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and seek resolution. Responsible for the efficient and effective interpretation, execution, and communication of certain Federal and State laws and regulations and University policies and procedures relating to financial aid matters. Develops, revises, and implements program policies, procedures, and internal audit controls for the areas of Return of Title IV, Satisfactory Academic Progress, Scholarships and State of Florida programs. Conducts research on financial aid data to gauge program success as well as to improve efficiency, compliance, and the quality of student service. Collaborates with FA Systems to identify efficiencies, participate in testing, advise of regulatory changes, and ensure compliance with program eligibility requirements. Provides direction and leadership reflective of compliance and innovation within the Office of Financial Aid. Serves as a member of department senior leadership team. Designs communication workflows and enhancement ideas for training, counseling, resources, and/or website enhancements. Provides support to other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Office of Financial Aid. Acts to resolve student issues. May counsel applicants, continuing students, parents, guardians, and departmental representatives via phone, email, and office visits in matters concerning individual student aid eligibility; the process and timeline for creating financial aid packages; various aid types and eligibility; and process and timeline for disbursement of aid. May represent the Office of Financial Aid to FSU offices and committees, other institutions, and at professional conferences. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience related to academic and/or student services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and ten years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.) Preferred Qualifications A Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and complimentary experience is preferred. Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred. The ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment is essential. Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience creating and delivering presentations to small and large groups. Applicants must have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
