Job Description

The Refuge is searching for a motivated Admissions Coordinator to join our team. We take a client-centered approach to treating trauma, understanding the each client has different needs, abilities and preferences and that the path to healing will be different for each client based not only on those factors, but also considering the biological and neurological factors that make each person unique.

Must have a weekend day availability (either Saturday or Sunday). Hybrid and remote positions available.

Pay:

$23 – $27 per hour. Rate determined from education and experience. Primarily responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family. Essential Responsibilities Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures. Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources. Respond promptly to inquiry calls. Schedule assessments. Conduct pre-admission assessments. Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment. Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission. Coordinate with referral sources. Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients. Responsible for maintaining all the documentation involved with the admissions process. Conduct admissions to the program with admitting clients Organize and construct admission packets for upcoming admitting clients Gather and relay benefit check information for possible incoming admissions Job Requirements HS Diploma or GED Required. College degree strongly preferred Previous experience, at least 1 year required, preferably in mental health or substance abuse field Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDC) strongly preferred.
