Job Description:
The Selective Admissions Coordinator is directly accountable to the Registrar, Academic Records and Enrollment for the following duties and responsibilities. The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carryout its mission. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of prospective, current, and former students’ education records.
Work as an integral part of the Office of Academic Records & Enrollment to uphold both institutional and state-mandated policies related to student enrollment and program completion within the College’s Selective Admission Programs.
Serve as Admissions Liaison to the Program Directors/Coordinators of the College’s Selective Admissions Programs (process Selective Admissions applications, verify applicants have met the minimum course(s) and/or GPA requirements, log the receipt of required admission materials, and communicate admission status to Career Education students throughout the process).
Process applicant appeal requests related to Selective Admission requirements; coordinate updates to both the College’s Student Information System and Degree Audit System to reflect approved appeal outcome(s).
Scan all student documentation related to the enrollment process into the College’s document imaging system.
When necessary, directly assist with answering student phone calls or meeting with student walk-ins and/or troubleshoot student issues related to Selective Program admissions, registration, records, and/or graduation processes.
Assist the Office of Federal Financial Aid and the Business Office with reviewing Selective Admission Program students who are in unpaid status (facilitating communications with students and reviewing the record for approving possible payment extensions).
Assist both the Office of Academic Records & Enrollment and the individual Program Directors/Coordinators of the College’s Selective Admissions Programs with the graduation certification process.
Serve on College Work Groups and Strategic Task Forces as assigned.
Assist faculty, staff, and students in understanding policies and/or solving issues related to the Selective Admission Program enrollment process.
Represent both the College and Career Education programs, on occasion, at both on- and off-campus meetings, information sessions, and/or events.
Complete annual mandatory compliance training.
Perform other duties as assigned. Benefits Health insurance for employee and dependent coverage available.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution with at least two (2) to four (4) years of relevant documented work experience (higher education experience preferred).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve Departmental and College goals.
Ability to perform complex data entry functions swiftly and accurately.
Ability to perform in-depth research and analysis to problem-solve complex data issues.
Ability to successfully engage with the general public, students, faculty and staff in a positive and professional manner within a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
