Description General Summary:
A Patient Service Specialist will play a very key role in the success of the facility and the patient’s overall experience. Strict adherence to organizational Protocols and Values is a must. A Patient Service Specialist will work in a fast-paced and exciting environment and apply their skills in a highly visible and critical role. Crucial Care provides non-hospital-based emergency care in a hyper-efficient delivery of Emergency Medicine Specialty Services combined with outpatient facility efficiently provides high quality care that can yield lower ER visits, lower hospital admissions and create savings.
Description of Essential Duties:
Under the direction of the Front Office Supervisor, the Patient Services Specialist is responsible for: entering new patients into the patient database verifying insurance getting authorization from insurance companies putting together patient charts scheduling patient appointments collecting copays and contracted rates from patients coordinating admissions auditing charts for completeness and obtaining any missing information from the clinical team Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance
