Full-Time Position Summary:
Central Christian University seeks a dedicated and personable Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, parents, and visitors. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations while supporting the admissions team in processing applications, scheduling appointments, and delivering a welcoming and efficient admissions experience in alignment with the university’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Coordination:
Assist with processing student applications and maintaining applicant records in the admissions database Schedule and confirm campus tours, interviews, and admissions appointments Respond to admissions-related inquiries via phone, email, and in person Provide accurate information about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, and enrollment procedures Track applicant progress and follow up with prospective students to encourage timely completion of admissions steps Prepare materials and packets for open houses, orientations, and recruitment events
Admissions Desk & Reception:
Greet all visitors warmly and direct them appropriately Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails to relevant departments Maintain a professional and organized front desk area Receive and distribute incoming mail and deliveries Manage appointment scheduling for staff and maintain front office calendars Provide administrative support, including filing, copying, and data entry
Qualifications:
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 1-2 years of administrative, admissions, or front desk experience (higher education preferred) Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM/admissions software Commitment to the mission and values of
Central Christian University Preferred Skills:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Experience in a faith-based or academic institution Knowledge of FERPA regulations and student confidentiality best practices
Work Environment:
