Position Title :
Assistant Regional Academic Center Coordinator Description:

The Assistant Regional Academic Center Coordinator with the oversight and direction from the Regional Academic Center Coordinator/Third Year Clerkship Coordinator will coordinate the clinical educational experience for students enrolled at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Regional Academic Center for their 3rd and 4th year. The coordinator will work collaboratively with the Regional Academic Center Coordinator and Office of Clinical Education to provide administrative support in coordinating schedules, and evaluations and working with Preceptors. This position is nonexempt. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Clinical Education. This salary for this position starts at $37,000 annually – depending on experience. This position starts Monday, July 7, 2025, or later. The candidate for this position needs to live in/near the Palm Beach, Florida area

Examples of Duties:

Assist the Regional Academic Center Coordinator(s) with student credentialing and onboarding. Provide administrative support, such as answering telephones; assisting students, employees, and visitors; and resolving a range of administrative problems and inquiries. Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Serve as a liaison with hospital/clinic and the main Burrell College campus. Collaborate with other staff, faculty, and other offices to resolve complex issues. Assist students in coordinating a range of issues, including, accessibility, facilitating housing options Serve as a subject matter resource to other departments; represent Academic Center/department Assist the Regional Academic Center Coordinator(s) in rotation confirmations. Assist in gathering the evaluations of the students, faculty, and rotations at the Regional Academic Center. Other duties may also be assigned. Other skills important to this position: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize information. Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality. Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to make decisions independently or to escalate issues as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma Three to five years of administrative/office management experience

Preferences:

Experience in a healthcare and/or education setting.

Approximately 90% of this position’s duties require the use of a computer. Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. Travel is required. Required travel is reimbursable.

Work Schedule:
