Reports to the Administrative Director of Preschool Qualifications Florida Preschool Director’s Credential with VPK Director Endorsement. Successful teaching experience. Leadership ability, including motivating school personnel to achieve goals and objectives. Knowledge of school-related data and the ability to utilize such data for decision-making purposes. Able to interact collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, staff, and church administration. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow. Professional and positive demeanor. Record of consistent, high-level performance. Excellent organizational, oral, and written skills. Must pass drug test, fingerprints, and local background check. Ability to meet all minimum eligibility requirements to be a member of Family Church. Maintain a high standard of excellence and strong moral, Christian character. Preferred Trauma-Informed Care Endorsement. Preferred bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field. Skills Commitment to school’s vision and mission Critical thinking skills, flexible, can build and grow a team Able to lift 25-50 pounds multiple times a day Able to handle moderate to high stress levels Responsibilities Oversee, train, and hold accountable all school campus employees in upholding Christian values and teachings which support the ideology taught at Family Church/First Baptist West Palm Beach. Function collaboratively with the Administrative Director for Preschools to assess school campus needs, develop a meaningful school improvement plan, and introduce those changes in school programs and personnel assignments that will result in achievement of school performance objectives and goals. Provide proactive, comprehensive and facilitative leadership for the school in the planning and implementation of school improvement initiatives, including implementing a challenging curriculum. Oversee from an administrative point of view the daily operation of the preschool. Observe preschool teacher performance and provide assistance to individual teachers to improve classroom instruction and student performance. Supervise and evaluate all preschool staff and provides staff development/training opportunities. Enhance the decision-making capabilities of all preschool personnel. Develop new skills and approaches to implement the school improvement and accountability. Encourage increased involvement by parents, Family Church, businesses and other community interests through partnerships designed to achieve both management and academic improvement and accountability. Gather, analyze, and use data from varied and multiple sources to form concepts and hypothesis, and to consider alternatives. Provide a clean, safe, and nurturing preschool environment. Provide effective communications with and seeks input from parents, teachers, students, and the community via systematic processes. Keeps fully abreast of and diligently enforces appropriate federal, state, and local statutes; and complies with audit requirements and Health Department policies. Emphasize increased literacy in reading, writing, and mathematics for all students. Focus on improved achievement for all students at the school. All other duties as assigned.
