The Manager of Graduate Medical Education Program is responsible for: Providing direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of academic program activities to include administrative support to the residency Program Director; and educational coordination between core faculty, attending physicians, residents, medical students, and institutional and regulatory administrative offices. Must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying management structure of the program and of the sponsoring institution in organizing and independently prioritizing work, establishing procedures and systems, and ensuring orderly and timely work flow. Coordinate and administer human resource functions and participates in budget review and financial processes. Act for and make decisions in the program director’s absence within prescribed limits of authority.
Preferred certification:
Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME). Required Experience and Education includes Bachelors degree and 3 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/Residency Program experience or Associates degree and 5 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/ Residency Program experience or High school/equivalent and 7 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/Residency Program experience. Prefer experience with New Innovations.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; or Associates degree; or Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
Required 3 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/Residency Program or relevant experience with bachelor’s; or Required 5 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/Residency Program or relevant experience with associates; or Required 7 years relevant Graduate Medical Education/Residency Program or relevant experience with high school diploma equivalent.
