- student retention Responsibilities include some classroom teaching, some administration, developing faculty for this small fast-growing program and ensuring the continued growth and quality of this master’s level program.
Also and very importantly, ensure the students are receiving quality clinical instruction. Support is given to the accredited graduate program and the role, both by the Program Director, campus leadership and the senior faculty Leadership Team. The Assistant Program Director will assume the responsibilities of the Program Director whenever needed as you are a team to ensure student outcomes. The accreditor requires a master’s degree in the discipline, Florida Licensure or the ability to have your licensure transferred, teaching experience of 2 years and at least 2 years in a leadership role either at the university level or in a clinical setting such as a hospital. Previous Assistant Program Director leadership experience would be ideal but if you are looking to take the next step in your academic career, which would be an Assistant Program Director, then please apply. We also encourage any academic leaders that wish to step down from their current role into an Assistant Program Director level role to apply also. Candidates Qualifications Needed:
- + Must have 2 years full-time teaching experience in a Higher Education environment.
+ Some academic leadership experience in a university setting or administrative leadership role. + Must be Anesthesiologist Assistant certified by the NCCAA or its successor. + Hold a graduate degree in education, administration, medicine, or the basic medical sciences. + Must have recent AA practice experience and current licensure that can be transferred to Florida if needed. + Genuine desire to see students succeed. + Enjoy community involvement and scholarly activities. + Ability to get state licensure in Florida.
