Job Description
The Alumni Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting client recovery and long-term success by engaging both current and former clients through structured 12-step programming and alumni services. This position is responsible for leading recovery groups, developing curriculum, providing training support, and building a robust alumni program that encourages ongoing connection, accountability, and celebration of recovery milestones.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Client Engagement & Group Facilitation Interface and build meaningful rapport with current clients in residential and outpatient settings. Lead 12-step recovery groups that reinforce spiritual principles, accountability, and peer connection. Design and implement a structured 12-step curriculum tailored to the needs of the client population. Training & Support Assist in delivering Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) training sessions to enhance staff understanding of recovery principles and client engagement techniques. Alumni Program Development & Oversight Build and manage a vibrant alumni program that fosters long-term recovery and community. Facilitate weekly alumni meetings both in-person and virtually to ensure accessibility and ongoing connection. Conduct consistent alumni follow-ups post-treatment to provide encouragement, identify needs, and offer re-engagement when necessary. Plan and execute an annual alumni reunion to celebrate progress and reinforce recovery networks.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of 12-step recovery philosophy Prior work experience in a residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment facility. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals in recovery. Comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation. High school diploma or GED.
