Title:
Student Council (BHS)
FUNCTION
To assume the responsibilities of organizing, guiding and supervising the
appropriate activities of the High School Student Council.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote activities on a school-wide basis, which will foster school spirit and/or leadership qualities with the student body.
Conduct monthly meetings.
Prepare necessary press releases that highlight Student Council activities throughout the school year.
Assume responsibilities for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE
Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
Experience in Student Council activities.
Knowledge of Student Council activities and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Dedication to the service of youth.
Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
