Job Description
About the Role Boston University is seeking a collaborative, strategic,and detail-oriented Senior Assistant Registrar for Department Support tojoin our Office of the University Registrar (OUR). This pivotal role isresponsible for leading registrar processes that support newinstitutional initiatives, ensure data accuracy, and uphold compliancewith university, state, and federal policies. As a key liaison betweenthe OUR and Boston University’s schools and colleges, the SeniorAssistant Registrar will research, implement, and maintain systemsfunctionality within the student information system (MyBU) and othertechnologies. They will also supervise a small team while coordinatingcross-functional efforts to continuously improve student recordsprocesses and services.
Key Responsibilities:
? Lead the development andimplementation of new MyBU functionality to support academic andregistrar initiatives. ? Evaluate and improve existing processes; assesspolicy changes for operational impact. ? Oversee school and collegeinitiatives, ensuring alignment and clear communication. ? Train andsupport staff on new systems and processes; troubleshoot records andsystem issues. ? Collaborate with academic units to identifyimprovements and gather feedback. ? Represent the Office of theUniversity Registrar on university committees. ? Support specialprojects and contribute to the overall success of the office.
