Description The Associate Director for Athletics Fundraising is responsible for raising annual funds from individuals and through corporate sponsorships to support both the overall UNE Athletics program and individual teams. Working in partnership with coaches, athletics staff, the Annual Giving team, and the Alumni and Stakeholder Engagement team, the Associate Director for Athletics Fundraising will create multi-channel outreach messages to alumni, parents, and fans to build engagement and philanthropic support. This position will also manage a portfolio of corporate partners and sponsors for solicitation and stewardship. About the University of New England

For more information about our outstanding benefits, please visit: UNE Benefits Overview Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, strategic fundraising plan focused on soliciting annual and multi-year gifts up to $25,000 in support of UNE Athletics.
Serve as the primary liaison between Institutional Advancement and Athletics, collaborating closely with coaches, senior athletics staff, and Advancement leadership to establish fundraising priorities and integrate giving strategies across the department.
Oversee and expand a portfolio of 20 high-impact corporate sponsorships, ensuring alignment with UNE brand standards and maximizing long-term philanthropic value, including partnering with the Athletics Director to manage signage installation.
Leverage University events and activities to build engagement across teams, develop prospects, and upgrade existing donors.
Document donor and prospect moves in Raiser’s Edge for monthly, quarterly, and annual evaluation.
Work occasional nights and weekends, as well as local and national travel, as required.
Perform other related or additional duties as assigned. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree plus three to five years of fundraising and development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience providing comparable knowledge and skills.
Broad knowledge of fundraising, event management, program development, and volunteer management in a higher education environment is preferred. Familiarity with college athletics is also preferred.
Energetic self-starter and strategic thinker who displays initiative, imagination for innovation, strong organization, and effective time management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a complex organization to achieve ambitious goals and established benchmarks.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with alumni, stakeholders, and colleagues across campus in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and interpret analytic reports to develop action-oriented plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and familiarity with database management.
