Department Title III Grant (2917) Description The Director of Title III is a grant funded position that is funded through 2028. This position reports to the Dean of Student Success (with direct support from the President) and serves a key role in enhancing student retention and graduation for on campus students. The director is expected to remain current in the field of academic advising and student support and to develop support systems and programming that integrate with existing systems on campus and within the Center for Student Success. The Title III grant has targets to improve student retention and graduation rates overall, but with a special focus on low income students. The director is responsible for providing regular reporting on the progress of the grant to campus partners and the Department of Education. The Director supervises two academic advisors and one assistant director of retention Examples of Duties
Provide supervision, leadership, support, and training to the Title III grant team;
Coordinate with CSS partners, in particular the director of academic services, the director of accessibility services, and the director of the career center;
Provide budget oversight for the Title III grant;
Provide regular reporting on the progress of the grant to the Dean of Student Success, the Provost and the President
Prepare the annual Title III progress report for the Department of Education.
Provide leadership and support to faculty advisors in conjunction with the Director of Academic Services and the faculty advising committee.
Initiate new collaborations with relevant departments to enhance and support student retention and success;
Collaborate with other academic advisors and faculty to support student success;
Contribute to the development and implementation of large student events such as EAGLE Week and new student orientations;
Provide support for the implementation of Anthology and provide workshops for faculty and advisors.

Typical Qualifications Education:
Required:
Masters’ degree in an associated discipline, such as higher education, student development, or a related field.
Experience:
Required:
Minimum of three years’ experience in academic advising and student success.
Preferred:
Five years of progressive experience in leading an academic support team and excellent supervisory and collaborative skills. Familiarity with the use of data and assessments in evaluating program progress and success.
