Washington County Community College is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as Dean of Academic Affairs. As the College’s Chief Academic Officer, the Dean oversees all aspects of academic programming, including full-time and adjunct faculty, academic departments, Trio staff, and the Teaching and Learning Center for Excellence. This position provides visionary leadership in program development, assessment, and academic integrity. The Dean is responsible for ensuring adherence to academic policies and procedures, guiding professional development initiatives, supporting accreditation processes and grant opportunities, and fostering strategic partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations. This senior-level, confidential position reports directly to the President and is a key member of the College’s senior leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, curriculum design, or administration required. Minimum of 5 years’ administrative and supervisory experience in higher education or a relevant industry setting. At least 3 years of successful college-level teaching experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability in team building, strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Strong leadership in budgeting, curriculum development, and advocacy. Exceptional communication and public speaking skills. Experience with workforce training and an understanding of industry-education collaboration is highly desirable. Candidates with equivalent credentials and substantial relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
Salary:
This is a salary position starting at $84,247 to $102,079 depending on credentials and experience.
