JOB DESCRIPTION
Residence Life Coordinator for Student Affairs is a full-time, live-in professional staff member whose primary purpose is to support student programing, oversight of residence halls, supervision of residence hall student staff, assist with student conduct, and assist with general student support. The Residence Life Coordinator advises and supports the student staff and enthusiastically aids in the planning and implementation of all resident student programming supported in the residential areas. The Residence Life Coordinator will also supervise student activities staff and support on-campus evening student activities programs. They are expected to blend structured office hours with flexible in-hall time to create a schedule that allows them to be available and to have frequent contact with students and student staff members. The Residence Life Coordinator serves as a positive role model within the campus community by actively supporting the mission, philosophy, and programs of the entire university. The Residence Life Coordinator is expected to exercise creativity, to be highly visible, and be substantially involved in campus life. Typical hiring range for this position is $43,951 to $51,506 commensurate with qualifications and experience. About the

Qualifications:
Required:
A bachelor’s degree in education, human development, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related, human interaction-focused field and up to one-year related experience on a college campus working with students.
Experience with programming or event planning and implementation is expected.
Preferred:
A master’s degree in higher education, student personnel, or a related field and experience living and working in a residence hall environment.
