Job Description
Joplin Workshops, Inc. seeks an experienced Employment Program Manager responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive program to support employment for adults with developmental disabilities in a retail nursery and landscaping environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management and training development, focusing on supporting disabled individuals. This role is vital in supporting JWIs mission to provide meaningful employment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify opportunities to support the garden center, staff, and customers.
Create and implement training programs for those opportunities.
Mentor, train, and review the progress of certified employees in training programs.
Collaborate with department heads to create additional opportunities and/or sales products to be produced by certified employees.
Educate retail and landscaping staff on best practices for mentoring and supporting disabled employees.
Build relationships with community organizations that support individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance outreach efforts.
