This position is responsible for reviving and managing the department’s booster club (M Club), developing and implementing corporate sponsorship strategies, assisting with alumni engagement efforts, and leading gameday administration for the college’s 18 varsity sports. This position reports to the Director of Athletics. This is an on-site position in Jackson, MS with regular daily office hours and requires some evening and weekend work and travel. Job Duties Booster Club (M Club)
Management:
Revitalize and oversee the department’s booster club, fostering engagement and support from alumni, parents, and community members. Maintain parent and alumnae communication Develop membership initiatives, events, and communication strategies to strengthen donor relationships. Oversee and manage M-Club equipment and inventory.
Corporate Sponsorship Development:
Create and execute a strategic plan for securing corporate sponsorships to support athletic programs and events. Build and maintain relationships with local and regional businesses to enhance revenue-generating opportunities. Develop sponsorship packages and ensure the fulfillment of partnership agreements.
Alumni Relations & Special Events:
Assist the Director of Athletics in alumni engagement initiatives to enhance connections with former student-athletes. Plan and coordinate major events such as Homecoming, Hall of Fame Weekend, and other alumni-focused gatherings.
Gameday Administration & Operations:
Oversee all aspects of gameday administration for the college’s 18 varsity sports, ensuring smooth execution of events. Manage event logistics, staffing, and coordination with game officials, facilities, and security personnel. Serve as the primary point of contact for game operations, addressing any issues that arise.
Other Duties:
Participate in various other areas of interest for the College and Department of Athletics Accept additional duties assigned by the Athletics Director Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collegiate athletics administration or a related field. Demonstrated experience in fundraising, corporate sponsorships, or alumni relations. Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for athletic events. Proven ability to promote a positive team environment and cultivate good morale Highly organized, creative problem-solver who takes initiative Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to varying technological environments Able to work in team environments and individually Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license Physical & Availability Requirements Ability to work long hours, nights and weekends as needed for event management. Must be able to traverse college campus and climb stairs Occasional stooping, bending, lifting and reaching are required Manual dexterity needed for demonstrating proper form and technique, participating in team practices and other repetitive tasks Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
