Job Summary
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Responsible for the management of admitting personnel in assigned areas. Accountable for assigned reports andpletion. Job is one of a working supervisor that works in the admission processes. Ensures efficient and quality services from area. Ensures integrity of admissions and federal and statepliance is met with admission processes. Responsible for up-front collections (training reporting and monitoring). Ensures that all polices and laws regarding release of information are met. Acts as support personnel and consultant in satellite areas. Provides information to the general public, visiting public, patients, physicians and physician offices. Demonstrates a polite and professional demeanor in all situations. Strives to reach and maintain goals at the highest standard in all areas of responsibility, task, and patient satisfaction as set by Administration and Corporate expectation. Takes initiatives to improve processes, strives for positive customer oues. Leads by example.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for management of admission personnel in assigned areas. Acts as support/consultant personnel to decentralized admission areas with and under direction of Admitting Manager.
2. Provides leadership through facilitating BMH visions/values through personal example and interaction with staff. Communicates policies and goals, which will result in enhanced employee skills, management, and leadership.
3. Maintains budget and identifies opportunities for cost reduction, enhance profitability and optimal resource utilization.
4. Demonstrates Service First characteristics to all. Sets example for department and other hospital personnel. Identifies opportunities for improvement resulting in enhanced service and customer satisfaction.
5. Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed withoutplaint.
