JOB TITLE
Academic Partnerships Coordinator SUMMARY:

Gardner-Webb University, North Carolina’s premier Christian University, seeks a creative and self-motivated Coordinator to build community college partnerships and advance Searight PACE programs. The Academic Partnerships Coordinator collaborates across the institution to provide seamless transfer pathways for community college students and leverages Searight PACE for delivery of relevant stackable non-credit credentials to the region and beyond.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Initiates professional and regular communication with internal and external partners to build relationship and address educational needs;
  • Develops and runs advertising campaigns to build awareness and stimulate demand for Searight PACE programs; manages social media accounts, mailing lists, and communication to prospective students;
  • In collaboration with leadership, conceives, plans, implements, facilitates, and evaluates programs/events including Searight PACE trainings, Bulldog Bound Partner events, and more;
  • Keeps abreast of and engages others in community college and PACE opportunities;
  • Assists the Director in providing excellent transfer and continuing education resources on the GWU website; ensures partners know how to access GWU resources;
  • Utilizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve client issues;
  • Develops efficient processes using technology systems within the context of standard operating procedures;
  • Assists the Director in tracking incoming students and monitoring their progress; shares graduation data with partner institutions and Registrar;
  • Keeps abreast of community opportunities and orchestrates GWU representation;
  • Advocates for the needs of adult learners and facilitates positive connections for those seeking to continue their education at Gardner-Webb;
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with one year of related experience, or three years of related experience
  • Strongly preferred: a degree/experience in marketing – especially social media.
Preferred:

experience in higher education, continuing education, or adult learner services

  • Exceptional communication skills with a customer service mindset and professionalism
  • Attention to detail while managing multiple programs
  • Ability to function in a team environment with a strong work ethic, respect for others, servant’s heart, and positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite with an aptitude to learn new systems including Slate, Banner, EDU, Meta, and other software platforms as needed.
