Position Summary:
The Admissions Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the admissions process—from inquiry through move-in—while maintaining census targets and ensuring exceptional experiences for residents and their families. This includes coordinating with internal departments, hospital discharge planners, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, accurate, and compassionate admissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all admission inquiries and referrals, ensuring timely responses and follow-up. Conduct facility tours and represent Willow Valley in a professional, warm, and knowledgeable manner. Maintain close contact with referral sources such as hospitals, case managers, and social workers. Collaborate with the clinical and financial teams to assess eligibility and coordinate seamless transitions. Track and report referral and admission activity, analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities. Support marketing and community outreach initiatives to drive census growth. Ensure pre-admission assessments are completed accurately and efficiently. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders throughout the admission process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred . Prior experience in healthcare admissions or marketing, preferably in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with compassion and professionalism. Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance-based admissions preferred. Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and CRM systems a plus.
